Hall & Oates Video Message to the Shorewood HS Lip Dub Singers on Monday's Rachel Ray Show!
The video
from Shorewood High looks normal when it starts, but there is something very
different about it. It's a lip sync of a song done in a single take with
numerous students taking part of Hall & Oates, "You Make My Dreams”…
and the whole video was filmed backwards! Tune in to the Rachel Ray Show on Monday Jan. 18th to see the Shorewood Highschool Lip Dub video singers talk about how they pulled it off plus a special video message to the singers from Daryl Hall & John Oates!
About the Video:
The
students were challenged from a rival high school to make a video, and they
took that challenge to a whole new level.
Since the
video was shot backwards, they had to learn all the words phonetically so when
they said them backwards and played them forwards they would look right.
The person lip-syncing walked backwards while everyone else was moving
forwards, and then they reversed the tape.
The video
has over 600,000 YouTube hits and celebrities like Ashton Kutcher and Ben
Stiller have tweeted about how cool it is.
